It’s been a while since we’ve had the opportunity to blog here at Elite Roofing, so we figured it was high time to carve out an hour or so. In the past, we’ve blogged about everything from roofing materials and roof types to why you should choose us as your West Virginia roofing company of choice. One of the things we haven’t yet gotten to writing about, however, is the highlighting of a few of our favorite West Virginia communities.
In today’s blog, we do exactly that. If you are moving to Charleston, or perhaps could use a bit of inspiration to do so, this blog is for you! We highlight several of our favorite things to do in Charleston. After that, we’ll wrap up with a brief summary of what kind of roofing services we offer at Elite Roofing. Let’s dive in!
Our Favorite Things About Charleston
- The Kanawha River – If you’ve never been to Charleston, you’ll be pleased to learn it is nestled into the bed of the Kanawha River. You can walk a full 1.5 miles along the riverside, starting at the West Virginia State Museum and State Capitol complex. Taking that route west will see you end up in the downtown historic district, where you might find free live music, delicious food, and plenty of points of interest.
- The Downtown ArtWalk – The third Thursday of every month features one of Charleston’s most unique and exciting events, the ArtWalk. Check out performances and exhibits at 34 galleries, venues, and other spaces, whether you choose to walk it independently or through a tour group.
- Mountain State – Over the past three decades, NPR has the habit of nationally broadcasting Mountain Stage, a local radio program that showcases some of the best music that’s coming out of the bluegrass, country, and folk genres in West Virginia. Of course, the scope of what is played extends beyond those core genres; you’ll also hear blues, indie rock, and other styles of music that originate from around the world. But here’s the best part — if you live in Charleston, you don’t have to tune into NPR because you can listen live! Catch the live show on Sunday nights at the Cultural Center Theater on Greenbrier and Washington streets.
- Capitol Market – Since the 1800s, the Capitol Market has been a vibrant source of food and entertainment in West Virginia’s capital city. Charleston residents, and farmers from beyond the city limits, come to either sell or buy food and other goods. No matter what time of year it is, it’s always worth checking out. You might just find one of your favorite restaurants is actually located in the market itself!
Choose Charleston’s Best Roofer
Elite Roofing is Charleston’s choice in a roofing contractor for multiple reasons. For starters, we offer Lifetime Shingle Warranties, free inspections and instant on-site quotes, a customer satisfaction guarantee, and free insurance claims assistance. But beyond the laundry list of (truly great) benefits and perks we offer, it’s our customer service that sets us apart.
While every roofing contractor out there will tell you they value customer service, we’ve got the track record to back those claims up. We are Select Shingle Master Certified, a Master Shingle Applicator, and are members of the National Association of Home Builders. While that might not mean much to you, these recognitions don’t happen in a vacuum. They are difficult to achieve and we are proud of what they represent — our consistent, unwavering dedication to providing the best roofing services in West Virginia!
If you are ready to speak with us to schedule your free inspection and on-site quote, don’t hesitate to reach out to us! We’d love to hear from you and make sure that you love living in Charleston!
